Many patients who visit MedAcademy in Crawley already have or plan to have other aesthetic treatments such as fillers, Botox or skin procedures. A common question is whether you can combine permanent makeup with these treatments safely. The good news is that it is usually possible, but timing and planning are very important.
PMU And Dermal Fillers
PMU on lips or brows can work very well with dermal fillers, but the order and timing of procedures matter.
- For lips it is often better to do filler first and PMU after the shape has settled
- We usually leave a few weeks between filler and permanent makeup
- This reduces the risk of changing the contour after pigment has been placed
PMU And Anti Wrinkle Injections
Anti wrinkle injections around the eyes or forehead can be combined with PMU brows. In many cases these treatments are done in separate appointments. This allows us to clearly observe the healing of permanent makeup and the effect of injections.
PMU And Skin Treatments Such As Peels Or Laser
Strong peels, laser resurfacing or other aggressive skin procedures should not be performed directly on fresh PMU.
- The skin needs time to heal and stabilise pigment
- We avoid strong treatments over the area with new PMU for a certain period
- Planning is key if you want both skin and pigment work done
Why A Professional Plan Is Important
When you inform your practitioner about all planned treatments, we can create a safe timeline. At MedAcademy we always ask about your previous procedures and future plans so that we do not overload the skin or compromise results.
Combining PMU with other aesthetic treatments can give beautiful, natural looking results when done with the right timing. If you are thinking about a full beauty plan that includes permanent makeup, fillers, Botox or laser, book a consultation at MedAcademy in Crawley to discuss the best sequence for you.
